Social media strategist

The Social Media Strategist will work to apply industry best practices to plan and optimize the social media marketing mix around clients' goals. Half of this role will be spent in a strategic development and planning capacity, and the other half will be focused on execution of social media marketing plans and responsibilities.

Job requirements:

  • Provide leadership, direction and relevant insights that will guide the social media efforts and integrated marketing communications planning for clients
  • Develop social design, social computing, and social media campaigns. This would require the candidate to develop presentations, develop partnerships with vendors in this space and to provide thought leadership and drive innovation across the various Avantaj NET Interactive accounts.
  • Deliver compelling competitive analysis, audience analysis, industry trends and client-facing and internal direction to identify and address key social media challenges and solutions.
  • Synthesize analysis to make powerful recommendations that drive clients to action and excite clients
  • Apply knowledge to develop social media marketing plans that add value to the brand and identify future opportunities within the social media space
  • Bring subject matter expertise to all Avantaj NET Accounts accounts, understanding of relevant social platforms and vendors.

Skills:

  • Qualified candidates will bring at least 4-6 years experience within an agency setting (2-3 years immersed in social/digital).
  • Must be able to work in a multi-discipline collaborative environment. The candidate must have a deep knowledge of social media technologies, platforms and services.
  • Team management and client facing experience a must.
  • Extremely strong leader with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
