In 2008 you chose to change the entire web design of your e-commerce projects. Why?

Marius Dosinescu: As a normal evolution of the made investments over the years (Avantaj CMS, logistics), we also decided to put the www.brazidecraciun.ro and www.floridelux.ro projects on a safe and strong platform, created for e-commerce needs, Avantaj CMS. The user interface is much friendlier, the scalability and quality of the code is something special. Also, we needed to bring up to date the web designs of the e-commerce websites, as market leaders. The designs are simple, modern, with big pictures and easy to use menus, they transmits professionalism, respect towards the client and sustains the constant desire of FlorideLux.ro to expand its most special collections.

In 2008 you developed partnerships with advertising agencies. Who were these and what did that do for the business?

Marius Dosinescu: Grafiti BBDO, Draft FCB, VItrina advertising are just a few of the agencies that we worked with and all this was part of a short term strategy to create a few projects from the advertising part of the market, to facilitate our entrance in the interactive niche, that is much more developed in advertising. This way we opened a door to future development.

Did the business start to feel the upcoming financial crisis?

Marius Dosinescu: At the end of 2008, the financial consultants we were working with told us to keep our heads down, but as god little entrepreneurs, we ignored their advice and kept the financing lines from the banks. The real nasty financial crisis starting showing in Romania at the beginning of 2009, in March to be exact, when all the top companies started reducing their advertising budgets.

What was the strong point of 2008?

Marius Dosinescu: In 2008 we managed to give a more commercial look to Avantaj CMS and we can strongly say that it has become a strong product in our book, a software that is secure and powerful, created by the best Romanian programming engineers
